Metallica: Master of Puppets Reissue kommt

Metallica wird am 10. November 2017 ihr drittes Studioalbum Master of Puppets auf dem bandeigenen Label Blackened Recordings veröffentlichen beziehungsweise korrekt heißt wieder veröffentlichen. Der Longplayer wurde remastert für die bestmögliche Soundqualität und wird in verschiedenen digitalen und physischen Konfigurationen erhältlich sein. Die Masters of Puppets Reissue ist ab jetzt verfügbar für Vorbestellungen. Diejenigen, die das Standardalbum vorbestellen erhalten einen sofortigen Download von Disposable Heroes (Remastered). Diejenigen, die die Deluxe Edition vorbestellen erhalten nicht nur den schon erwähnten Song sondern direkt noch The Thing That Should Not Be (Live at the Aragon Ballroom, Chicago, IL – May 25th, 1986.

Die Master of Puppets Reissue wird physisch als Standard LP, Standard CD, 3CD Expanded Edition sowie als Limited Edition Deluxe Box Set erhältlich sein. Digital als Standard CD (Stream und Download), als 3CD Expanded Edition (nur Download) und als Digital Deluxe Box Set (Streaming und Download). Die Expanded Edition wird vorher unveröffentlichte Demos, Rough Mixe, Interviews, Live-Aufnahmen und ein 28-seitiges Booklet beinhalten. Das Limited Edition Deluxe Box Set wird ein 108-seitiges Hardcover-Buch inklusive vorher unveröffentlichter Fotos, Outtakes und vorab unveröffentlichte Interviews enthalten. Außerdem 3 LPs, zehn CDs, eine Kassette, zwei DVDs, eine Lithografie, einen Hefter mit handgeschriebenen Lyrics sowie ein Set aus sechs Buttons.

Master of Puppets wurde ursprünglich am 24. Februar 1986 veröffentlicht und war das erste Album von Metallica nach dem Signing beim Major-Label Elektra Records. Außerdem eerreichte es Platz 29 in den Billboard Albumcharts und wurde über sechs Millionen alleine in den USA verkauft. Es war das letzte Album mit Bassist Cliff Burton.

Jetzt kommt die Tracklist der Limited Edition Deluxe Box, danach folgen 3 Videos. Davon ist eines ein Unboxing-Video und die anderen beiden sind die bereits erwähnten Songs in remasterter Version.
